I awake shrouded in darkness
In this darkness I follow the light.
The light is in your eyes and in your smile.
I have followed it blindly into a circle to where I stand now.
In snow up to my knees.
Freezing to death without your warm smile to keep me alive.
I am now lost in a tempest of my thoughts.
Waiting for her next smile to calm the storm
To hold my hand and stand by my side
To listen to my mumblings and to tell me yours
To share each others sorrows
And wake in each other's arms for many tomorrows.
Is it wrong to look for the angel I seek
I would give up my palace of solitude
To only see her warm smile once more
And to gaze into her eyes and view heaven on earth
To find my gaurdian angel
